We are so glad you are back here again to sift through the delights that we have found on our favourite bridal blogs lately. We have met some incredible couples this year; all of whom have brought bags of personality and character to their wedding day.
The Great Event, it’s a collection of handpicked, unique pieces of furniture, linens, accessories, cutlery, crockery and props for you to hire for your wedding or party. Hosting many weddings across the year, means we have accumulated quite a hoard of beautiful things, from unusual Indian chairs, to simple wooden trestle tables; from hurricane lamps to chalkboards and easels.
It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to Daisy and Oliver, who were married at the beginning of July. Theirs is, by far, the biggest wedding we have hosted with 200 guests. And we think the table layout worked really well to accommodate such a size, without losing that intimate feel. Photographer Emma Solley, has created some outstanding imagery and our good friend, Joanna Game, has done it again with her stunning floral creations.
The Great Barn Devon, sits amongst acres and acres of gardens, farmland and woodland, nestled in a little hamlet. It’s the most gorgeous of settings and a true memory-maker for any bride and groom. So, when 200 guests arrive en masse and, as the mighty Prince one said, “Party like it’s 1999!”, just how do you give them a truly awesome celebration without upsetting the neighbouring residents and farm animals? The answer? A silent disco.

It’s all about the gowns, the accessories, the make-up, the hair and the moments captured when girl meets boy (or girl) and they fall in love all over again.
The preparation and planning of a wedding, and more so, the wedding day itself, is full of traditions. Passed down from generation to generation; some worldwide, some personal, family traditions. Things like not seeing the bride before the ceremony, the giving and receiving of rings, receiving lines and of course, the wedding favour.
Our blog post this month is dedicated to special moments. Weddings are full of them (obvs!) so we want to celebrate, not just the first looks, first kisses and first dances, but the funny, spine-tingly, heart-fuzzying, smile-making intimate moments. Enjoy!

Catering for your wedding guests can be a delicious but stressful minefield. Deciding on whether to serve a three-course wedding breakfast or a belt-busting all-you-can-eat buffet is only half the quandary. Depending on what time of day you get married, can mean the difference between one or two (or sometimes even more) servings of food.
