January is long and cold and, for some, a bit of a challenging month. So for a little light relief we are looking back at this corker of a wedding from last August, with stunning images by Mark Shaw Photography.
Being so involved with our couples and seeing their wedding unfold is massively inspiring. So, purely for your viewing pleasure and not to influence you in the slightest, here are just some trends that we think will be big in 2019.
This lovely couple are called Fran & Josh. They were married at The Great Barn on the 2nd June this year. They opted out of theming their wedding day and went for a truly informal celebration with vintage colours and a relaxed vibe.
We were lucky enough to be interviewed by Country Living for June’s edition, as part of their regular Kitchen Table Talent feature, which celebrates the home-grown entrepreneurs who have turned their hobbies into a thriving business.
Vicky and Bob were married at The Great Barn in March this year. Spring was well and truly on its way and the bridesmaids with their gorgeous red wraps certainly added a splash of colour to the celebrations.
One of our lovely regular photographers, Rebecca Roundhill, sent us these absolutely stunning images of the wedding of Liz & James. She has such a talent for framing her shots so perfectly and we know you’ll agree with us when you take the time to have a look through just some from this beautiful weekend.
Whilst The Great Barn itself is the most obvious place to get married here at Higher Ashton, we always get a little bit excited when our couples want to do something a little different.
Taking centre stage in our beautiful garden is the arbour, which was built last year using oak from our own woodland. It’s such an intimate setting and as you can see from these stunning photographs by Linda und David, the smiles on all the faces of the friends and family are unwavering and full of love for Claire & Tom.
