gardens and grounds
On fine days let your guests make their way through the medieval courtyard and under a stone arch, to discover the secret walled garden. Under the walnut tree, tables can be set, ready to serve drinks and canapés. Chic, white, wooden garden furniture is placed on the lawn for those who might want to sit in the dappled shade of the trees and soak up the glorious valley setting.
The garden also provides a wonderful backdrop for perfect pictures – under ancient arch gates, in the fabulous rose garden, beside the lavender hedge. In autumn a deep red creeper covers the walls, in winter the structured shrubs and trees are spectacular. Whatever the season, the walled garden is yours to use and enjoy.
If clients would like live music during their reception there are plenty of flat, shaded areas where a jazz band or string quartet could play. Power can easily be organised if they need it. We also have here a PA and speakers which clients are welcome to use if they would like to put a playlist together. Often guests play croquet or other lawn games or just enjoy catching up with friends and family with a glass in one hand and something delicious to nibble on in the other.
“Your Barn is the most wonderful venue and we are privileged that you allow so many people to make use of it and the beautiful gardens.”
“Our guests were in awe of the Barn, as were we from the moment we set eyes on it! You have both created a truly special and unique wedding venue.”
