Outdoor Weddings – Gazebo Inspiration
With our gazebo looking absolutely fantastic and eagerly waiting for its first outdoor wedding this year, we have put together an inspiration board on our Pinterest page, with some beautiful, simple and cost effective ways to decorate an outdoor space, ready for tying the knot.
Launch of the Mazda MX-5 RF
This month we played host to the UK launch of the Mazda MX-5 RF. Around 90 journalists, over the course of three days, were flown by private jet into Exeter airport where they picked up one of the brand new cars. They then drove to The Great Barn for lunch, as well as a presentation about the new range. The all-new Mazda MX-5 RF Retractable Fastback will go on sale in the UK on the 4th March 2017.
Building A New Gazebo For Outdoor Weddings
So that our brides can get married in the garden we are building a beautiful gazebo. We’ve used oak which has been cut from our woodland. The roof will be made from individual shingles from larch, sourced from a timber yard in the Teign Valley. Next step is to have it licensed and then we are good to go. The plan is for our brides to make their entrance through the little arched gate in our courtyard and walk the length of the lawn….on a fine summer’s day what could be more perfect!

Winter still has us in her frosty grip, but we are inspired by the beautiful, crisp sunshine that we are being treated to and that gives us lots of lovely ideas for spring weddings. We are so excited to see what our lovely couples will be doing for their weddings this upcoming season. Spring at the barn is such a wonderful time of year. New life is pinging up all over the garden and the days start to stretch out a little longer.
