Jennifer & John were married at St. John the Baptist Church in Higher Ashton and held their wedding celebrations at The Great Barn, in September last year. The happy couple were so pleased to share with us, just some of the memorable moments from their special day and how they met, just over two years ago…
With a day to prepare, the big day itself and no rush afterwards, The Great Barn’s three-day exclusive hire is proving very popular for 2017. But fear not dear couples, the last few dates for 2017 are still available in some of the more popular months, namely June and September.

Finally, thanks to fab photographer Rosie Anderson, I have some lovely images of West Barn. We completed our second barn earlier this year to take the place of the marquee. It will act as a wet weather cover for drinks receptions, really useful for coffee and as we’ve put in some squishy sofas at one end, it’s also a perfect place for those who want to escape the music and just chill and chat.
I was so pleased to see our tall white wooden candlesticks making their debut in the Barn at Will and Camille’s wedding on Saturday. Teamed with jam jars filled with simple white flowers, the overall effect was really stunning.
Up on a hill, just a 3 minute walk from the Barn is the picture perfect St John the Baptist Church, and a number of our clients marry there. We also have a license for civil ceremonies in the Barn – so the choice is there. Often a difficult one!
