Great Barn Weddings – Neil & Graeme
Neil & Graeme Knight-Gibbons were married on the 1st October 2016!
They chose to have their wedding in October because of their love for Autumn and the colours this season produces, which they incorporated into their day as much as possible. With no particular theme in mind, the couple just wanted everyone to have fun, enjoy themselves and be involved in the day as much as possible.
“We had a very good friend create the big N&G you can see in the photos, out of willows, as well as our button holes. The photos were taken but my second cousin and her boyfriend and our Mums created the flowers in the milk bottles for the tables. A good friend also conducted a very informal handfasting ceremony in the gardens. Lots of people chipped in with the seating plan and hopefully felt a part of the wedding. With this in mind we headed down to the Great Barn on the Wednesday (we are both based in London) with close family and friends arriving on the Thursday and then everyone helping out on the Friday, our day to prepare!”
Neil & Graeme really wanted a laid back, informal wedding with good wine, lots of dancing and good honest grub, supplied by the wonderful Dartmoor Kitchen, who created an upscale Pie and Mash (of which the pies were being still discussed a month after the wedding by the couple’s friends). They also had a campervan photo booth supplied by Vintage Camper booths which was a hugely enjoyable and memorable part of the day.
“All of this was topped off with the superb organisational skills of John and Emma who somehow managed to pull everything together to create what was simply the perfect day!” Ah, it’s our pleasure boys!
