We are thrilled Dartmoor Kitchen, who we have been working alongside us for the last 10 years, have agreed to put together a bespoke set of wedding menus for The Great Barn. The fact they have been crowned the National Wedding Caterer at the Wedding Industry Awards comes as no surprise to us. We have known for a long time that they deliver the most delicious food, and the best customer service in the West Country. Using local, fresh and seasonal ingredients, talented Director and Head Chef Tom Cull is constantly improving his dishes to produce food that tastes amazing and looks wonderful.

While the chefs and kitchen staff weave their magic in our catering kitchen right next to the Barn, front of house is taken care of by Dartmoor Kitchen’s smart waiting staff, one per every 15 guests. Headed up by an experienced Maitre D’ they will serve canapés and reception drinks, the wedding feast, replenishing wine and water, the fizz for the toasts, tea and coffee. A skeleton staff remains to serve any evening food while Great Barn staff will run your bar.

Organic artisan bread is served with all the menus and everything is home made from the chutney to the ice-cream.

Dartmoor Kitchen will invoice you direct. A deposit of £1,200 is required to secure the date, the full amount 1 month prior to the event. Full terms and conditions are sent out with the contract.

The Devon Feast consists of 6 main dishes served on large wooden boards and platters to the tables for guests to help themselves. Round tables work best as they have enough space. Alternatively, guests can go to a Feast Station and waiting staff, each serving only 2 dishes each, will ensure there is minimal queuing.
