Less than ten minutes away from the A38 yet hidden in a secluded valley, The Great Barn Devon offers tranquility, exclusivity, and utter, utter peace for conference events and corporate meetings. The stunning, yet simple space lends itself to a huge variety of events from conferences, concerts, exhibitions, to product launches and award ceremonies.
An impressive 24.5m long, 7.5m wide, The Great Barn can accommodate any number of delegates from 20-250 seated theatre style. The adjacent Roundhouse can take an additional 50 people, or be used as a breakout space or reception area in which to greet guests or serve refreshments. An ingenious hanging system has been installed making the space perfect for exhibitions and the enormous double doors are large enough to drive a car into the Barn. Lighting and sound has been carefully considered with 48 individually controlled spotlights, while a professional sound mixing desk and speakers line the length of Barn. Wi-fi is available throughout the building.
Across the courtyard, West Barn, a fabulous light, bright space can be used alongside the main barn, or in its own right. While smaller at 18m x 5m, it works brilliantly for corporate workshops or as a business meeting room. Also within the courtyard are two wonderfully comfortable cottages for those who may need to stay awhile.
We appreciate eating well is an important part of a successful event. With this in mind multi-award winning Dartmoor Kitchen will produce delicious food prepared in our own kitchen, tailored to suit your taste and budget. Clients are welcome to bring their own drinks, we do not charge corkage.
There is plenty for parking for over 40 cars at the back of the The Great Barn as well as dedicated disabled spaces, access and facilities.
